LAUREL and HARDY in NEWCASTLE

Laurel & Hardy came to Newcastle on all four tours.

In 1932 they were in the area for just one day. They stayed the night in Tynemouth, but made appearances at the Queen's Hall and the Stoll Cinema in Newcastle.

In 1947 they opened their tour at the Newcastle Empire,
and stayed at the Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle.

1952 found Laurel and Hardy back at the Newcastle Empire,
but they ended up staying in Tynemouth again.

Laurel and Hardy's last visit was 1953, when they again played the Newcastle
Empire
, and this time managed to get booked into the Royal Station Hotel.
